D2- Demonstrate control of the audio tracks

As part of editing the film, we also edited the audio tracks of the film. This included making sure that the volume of the dialogue was the same all the way through the film, which meant that sometimes the volume levels needed to be increased or decreased.
During our montage we included a music track in order to make it more interesting. We had to make sure that the music we used was copyright free and that we credited the artist. The music also had to fit the genre of the film, this took a while to find a music track that we were happy with.

Part of the film was a time lapse of the characters walking to the park, we made it a time lapse in order to make it more interesting to the audience. In order to add to the idea of time passing we included a music track here also. However, this time one of the members of our team created the music track in garage band.
The creator of this piece of music, played in the melody on a piano, and then using the functions garage band such as the quantise tool, and the library off different types of sounds, was able to create the piece of music for this sector. She was then credited in the credits.

During this scene of the film, we decided that we wanted to have a voiceover by the actors so that it would appear that the characters were having a conversation during this scene. In order to do this, we  recorded the audio of the actors talking and added it in separately along with the ambient track of one of out other shots to show the park noises like birds and tree leaves rustling.

We also included copyright free music in the end credits to make sure the film did not end abruptly, but had a smooth ending that fit with the rest of the film. It was also important here that we credit the music artist and that the track that we used fit with the genre of the film.
